Notable examples include the Indian Cancer Society’s “Cancer Care Homes,” Tata Memorial Hospital’s affiliated accommodations like “St. Jude India ChildCare Centres,” and the Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute’s patient housing. These services ensure that patients and their families can focus on recovery without the added worry of finding and affording suitable accommodation during their medical journey.
- Indian Cancer Society: This organization provides accommodation facilities for cancer patients and their caregivers. They operate several “Cancer Care Homes” in cities like Mumbai, which offer affordable lodging during treatment periods.
- Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai: The hospital and associated NGOs offer low-cost or free accommodation to patients and their families.
